Museum Foyer 1

Ok, I’ve started the next module of the Architecture Academy, a museum foyer in reference to the Guggenheim Museum in New York (see image below). First part was the modeling of the balcony spiral with the help of a screw modifier and a lattice modifier. Here’s a quick render in cycles with basic (diffuse) material

Modern House 6

Grass is in the scene now and my laptop was not happy with it, but finally I could render it. 😉 This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.

Modern House 5

Real trees, fake trees and shadows of trees, oh, and not to forget plants and ivy – my modern house got some green. The next thing is grass (particle system) and I hope I still can render the scene after adding it. 😉 This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.

Modern House 4

Yeah, I struggled through the grunge material. Next part will be green stuff I guess. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.

Modern House 3

All materials are applied, here’s another W.I.P. render. Next video/step will be grunge materials. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.

Modern House 2

I’ve cleaned up the mesh, deleted backfaces not visible in render and uv mapped everything. Here’s a test render in cycles to take a look at the lighting: This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.

Modern House 1

Today I began with module 2 of The Architecture Academy, a modern house, and decided to show some work in progress: Modeling is finished and camera is in position. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.

Sea Beastie II

There’s some progress on my sea beastie: Smoothed mesh ready for eyes and mouth. With eyeballs. With mouth but still teethless. 😉

Room Scene 9

Okay, finally the camera perspective is adjusted, there was a little bit of distortion on the last render but now it should look more realistic: Cycles render with 1000 s/px (limited global illumination).
